WiDS Ambassador Program

When you become a WiDS Ambassador, you create and plan an event
to bring the 
Women in Data Science (WiDS) Worldwide conference, 
​to your cohort, colleagues, or community.
Applications closed January 6, 2023.  Sign up to be notified when we open applications for 2024.
Register Interest

WiDS Ambassadors get free access to:

Fantastic, relevant technical content to use during a regional event that you plan
Conference and workshop planning, branding, and promotional materials, including templates​​
Virtual event planning guide 
On-going updates from, and access to, the WiDS Worldwide planning team
Opportunities to network with other WiDS Ambassadors worldwide, both online and in-person (whenever possible)
Feature on the WiDS Ambassador page on our website

WiDS Ambassador Requirements

​​
•  Read and understand the WiDS regional event rules, and apply to become a WiDS Ambassador, which includes completing and signing the WiDS License
•  Plan a WiDS conference or datathon workshop 
•  Adhere to the WiDS Branding Guidelines for Event Name and logo usage
•  Send WiDS Worldwide planners information, agenda, and registration links by the appropriate deadline
•  Post photos of your event on Twitter, Facebook, and or Instagram using the hashtag #WiDS2022
​•  
Provide feedback and reporting to WiDS Worldwide planners post-WiDS regional event​​

How to Apply

Applications are closed for 2023, but you can sign up to be notified when we open applications for 2024!
Join the WiDS Worldwide team and become a WiDS ambassador,
​planning an event near you for your colleagues, or community.

Step 1: Read the Rules

Read the WiDS regional event rules and download the license agreement. Make sure to complete the application, and sign the license agreement. 

Step 2: Smile for your Photo

If you'd like to be featured on the WiDS ambassador page for 2023, much like this one from WiDS 2023, be sure to include a headshot with your application. 

Step 3: Submit your Info

Let us know a little bit about you and the event you'd like to plan. Remember to upload the signed license agreement, as your application won't be complete without it.
