Dr. Jessica Kohlschmidt
Comprehensive Cancer Center, Ohio State University
Dr. Kohlschmidt is a biostatistician at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center. She is a researcher in and teacher of statistics. After graduate school, Dr. Kohlschmidt spent two and a half years teaching statistics to college students at OSU and six and a half as a statistician for an acute myeloid leukemia research group. Currently, she works with clinical and survival data to assess if groups can be identified by gene mutations and expressions that respond better or worse to current treatments for leukemia. We have an ever expanding set of data from which to draw information and big data analytic methods are increasingly important. Her dissertation research was in survey research and missing data methods. Dr. Kohlschmidt received her Ph.D. in Statistics from The Ohio State University.
