Evgenia Samoilova is a researcher at the Professorship for Statistics and Methodology at the University of Mannheim. She works in the project International Program in Survey and Data Science (IPSDS) funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research. The project resorts to research and support of new modes of learning in the area of survey and data science. Her research focuses on factors influencing engagement in digital environments. Methodologically, she is interested in studying how learning analytics can be integrated with other data sources (survey and qualitative data) for evaluation of data quality and answering substantive research questions. Prior to joining the University of Mannheim, she was a researcher at the Knowledge Transfer department at GESIS Leibniz Institute of Social Sciences and a PhD fellow at the Bremen International Graduate School of Social Sciences.
